    People's Poetry Festival

    by Philip Rivard - 0 Comment(s)

If you aren’t already planning to roam the streets of Kensington this weekend to check out the People’s Poetry Festival, well, the weather looks like it will be perfect, so don’t miss any of it. The kick-off event is at Pages bookstore at 6:30pm, tonight.

Then, Saturday morning the PPF will have volunteers at the library for a rapid fire look at what poetry is, how it’s written, why people write it, and how it’s evolved over time. Even if poetry is already your expertise come down the 4th Floor of Central to see all the great poetry resources your library has to offer.

    Register here for Poetry 101.

And here’s a great article from this week’s FFWD, describing what this new festival is all about.
