Other major past editions of his works from the First Folio to the 19th century are provided. Also includes full-text scholarly journals in the fields of the Renaissance, Elizabethan studies, film studies, etc. The Gordon Crosse Theatrical Diary provides eyewitness accounts of 60 plus years (1890-1953) of Shakespeare productions in the United Kingdom. The database contains primary source material, criticism from the 17th century to the present and general reference data. There are also selected works by Shakespeare’s contemporaries, as well as maps, photos and other illustrations about Shakespeare’s productions, life and times. Biocritical information about Shakespearean actors, actresses and directors is included.
