CORPORATE GIVING & SPONSORSHIPS

The Calgary Public Library has a number of sponsorship opportunities available for businesses and organizations who want to demonstrate their commitment to literacy and life-long learning in Calgary.

Call us for more information on any of these opportunities: 260-2631

Summer Reading Adventure

This program is a fun and interactive literacy "game" that encourages children and teens to continue reading through the summer holidays. Sponsorship of this program would give any business high exposure to thousands of children, teens, and parents. It is a wonderful way to support the community, and help the leaders of tomorrow by encouraging strong literacy skills at an impressionable age.

Baby and Preschool Story Time Programs

Story Times are the Calgary Public Library’s most popular programs. They help children of all ages and their parents or caregivers discover the joy of reading through exciting stories, songs, puppet shows, and more. Each Story Time is specially designed for different ages and stages of development, and they all help build the literacy skills that children will use for a lifetime.

Specialized Collections

The Calgary Public Library’s books and materials cover almost every subject imaginable. By sponsoring a specialized collection, businesses and organizations can help ensure that the Library has range and depth in its collections on subject matters that are important to the community and the business. Special collections might include materials on geology, career development, parenting, health, and more.

Technology

Technology has dramatically changed the way information is stored and retrieved, and the Calgary Public Library seeks to provide all Calgarians – regardless of their position – with access to the Internet and other information and communication technologies. The Calgary Public Library is a leader in providing public access computer terminals in Calgary, and the Library relies on the support of businesses and organizations to help keep its technology up to date.
