CPL SPEAKERS’ BUREAU
Making our Community Connection
Calgary Public Library is your community connection to a world of information and ideas.
You can help make that connection stronger.
Calgary Public Library is pleased to announce the CPL Speakers’ Bureau. In the coming months,
library staff and Board members will be speaking to community and business organizations in
Calgary. The CPL Speakers’ Bureau is one way to create stronger connections between the Library
and individuals and groups in the community and to increase awareness, understanding and use of
the Library’s vast array of services, collections, and facilities.
By reaching out to the community, Calgary Public Library hopes, as well, to achieve a greater
understanding of the issues facing public libraries today. In an era of static funding from
government, inflationary pressures and reduced purchasing power, Calgary Public Library is
seeking to diversify its traditional funding base. We welcome opportunities for innovative
partnerships and sponsorships, as well as for financial and other forms of support from
individuals and groups in the community.
With support from the community which we proudly serve, library services will be maintained
and enhanced for future generations. And the Library’s connection with all Calgarians will
be even stronger!
If you would like more information on how to book a presentation by the CPL Speakers’
Bureau, please call the Marketing & Development Department, at 260-2640.
