SUGGEST A TITLE
Calgary Public Library welcomes your input in suggesting materials for the Library!
To suggest a title that the Library does not currently own, please read the information below and follow instructions to complete the form:
Check the catalogue with Quick Search (to the right) to find out if the Library already has the item. Try both title & author searches.
We welcome suggestions for:
- Authors or subjects of particular interest to you and that would be of interest to others
- Local authors/titles relating to Calgary or Alberta
Please don’t suggest:
- Items already available in the Library catalogue
- Titles that are not yet published
- Current titles from bestselling authors (we will be purchasing these so check the catalogue periodically to place a request)
Items are selected for Calgary Public Library through many processes. Titles may show up in the catalogue before Customer Suggestions are processed and requests are placed for you.
We receive hundreds of suggestions monthly so we can’t buy everything or write back to you individually. Every suggestion is carefully considered
and decisions are made within the context of funding available and the Materials Selection Policy.
An item that has been ordered as a customer suggestion will appear in the catalogue within 2 months.
