The Sun Life Financial Arts + Culture Pass is about more than handing out free tickets. It is about sparking the imagination and opening access to a new world of experiences for low-income Calgarians. Now more than ever, the Calgary Public Library is positioned to ensure that a world of ideas and information is within the reach of every Calgarian. The opportunity to experience one of Calgary's premiere arts and culture experiences will enhanch the quality of life and provide a lasting positive impact on the lives of thousands of individuals and families in Calgary.

It was amazing to hear and see the "workings" of instruction and adjustments to the cast at this dress rehearsal. I have no idea how to obtain tickets to dress rehearsals so feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend this one. The ballet was a special treat and the dress rehearsal was an added bonus. Thank you so very much."

  • "I would like you to pass along my thanks to Alberta Ballet for the tickets to Othello at the Jubilee Auditorium. I went to the ballet once in my life, many years ago, so this was a rare treat. The performance of Othello was invigorating and inspiring. The strength and beauty of the dancers and the beauty of the costumes was uplifting. The story was fascinating. It was also fascinating to see the few corrections that were being done, as it was the dress rehearsal. I, myself, could not see anything wrong (of course)! For me going to the ballet is like going to Spruce Meadows. It is a complete other and different world which we are privileged to be in. The trappings are complex and the viewers educated. We become elevated from the ordinary and forget our troubles for awhile. Thank you so much."
