Welcome to the Library, supported by the RBC Foundation welcomes and supports newcomers to Canada through Welcome Tours, Welcome Library Cards and Welcome Videos.


Welcome Video

The Welcome Video is a multi-language resource that welcomes and introduces members of the newcomer communities with diverse linguistic backgrounds to the Library’s resources, programs and services in more than 18 languages enabling better integration and settlement into Canadian society.

Welcome Tours

Tours are designed to introduce learners to library materials, programs, and services so that newcomers can better integrate and settle into Canadian society.  The Tours are 60 minutes in duration and introduce English language Learners to the vast array of library resources, programs, and services available to enhance language learning and support their settlement.  Tours can be booked online or the library at 403-260-2600.

Welcome Library Card

The Welcome Library card will place a world of information within reach of all newcomers. Newcomers will receive their first Canadian library card presented within a Welcome folder. This will enable newcomers to access the programs, resources and services and the world of information, knowledge and learning resources.
